Hello. I'm a non doctor reading this from Australia. It seems very worrying what you are painting. Am I right in thinking that young doctors are treated as 'prisoners' of governments in the early parts of their careers, and denied the private right to practice?

It takes a tremendous amount of courage to resign. I am a disheartened psychologist in the US. I work for myself, in a forensic practice, dealing with warring attorneys and mewling angry parents and tragic children. I want to do something different. I suppose I should count myself lucky that I have a career and the freedom to work for myself - but I feel sad. I wish I could sell shoes in Paris.

Thanks for your courage. What will you do instead? Will you continue to be a physician?

With kind regards,
The Disheartened Psychologist

Hi there,

I've been browsing through your blog and found out that you decided to resign. I would like to congratulate you for your decision.I think you're really brave.Probably the costs that this job was requiring from you were far too high than the one you were willing to pay. I think is the best thing you could do considering that the NHS system in Britain seems to be totally corrupted and most of the doctors are burned out or frustrated; life is far too precious to spend it around psycos and people that don't appreciate your effort and qualities.Even if there are few great moments in our life, and the rest is just a rutinary walk, you should be able to live it and have time, your own time.
Hope you find whatever you're looking for.

Hi,

Can I just say that I've enjoyed reading your blog. Please continue.

I am a 4th yr medical student in London and I share these exact feelings. In fact I was so frustrated wiith it all that I took a gap year last yr and it did the world of good for me. I've come back wiser and realised that a job is not meant to be something you like. Whether it be medicine or another career - I would still bloody hate it. To put it to you frankly, I just want to be a business woman, earning loads of money and travelling around the world - but how to get there without any effort/stress is another question? But its definitely something I'd like to discover very soon so that I may leave this career, which if I may add is the best of a bad bunch, especially if you live in godawful & stressful London.
Bye.

so sad you have left.

have you read the new book about the relaity of working in the front line of the nhs; in stitches; the highs and lows of life as an A&RE doctor. It is causing a bit of a media stir. At last someone standing up for what we have all been saying for ages.

Taking Inderal tablets should not be stopped abruptly. First and foremost, consult a doctor and state your reason why you should stop it. There are cases that the end of buy Inderal no prescription is necessary. For such cases, you should carefully follow the instructions of your doctor, as you can to get off drugs safely. It should be noted that angina may be reborn in a more serious level, when you go cold turkey with propranolol.
